THE HISTORY OF DISABLED REPUBLICANS
The Disabled Republicans of Southwest Florida is the first of its kind club in the United States aimed at including disabled conservatives and their advocates in their local, statewide, and national political discussion. Our goal is to educate, engage, and encourage participation from the disabled, conservative community, providing inclusion for a group of people who are often ignored when it comes to governmental affairs.
Established in July of 2019, the first chapter of of the Disabled Republicans is located in Southwest Florida. RollExit founder, Nathan Watt, created the group when he realized there was no conservative effort to reach out to the disabled population. Chartered through the local Republican Executive Committee, the Disabled Republicans club opened to a very positive reception with at least half of its attendees being from the disabled & advocate community.
The Disabled Republicans club holds meetings monthly. Each meeting features a guest speaker followed by a brief Q&A session. There is no cost to attend meetings to the general public. Memberships for the Disabled Republicans are available through the link provided below.
The Republican Party has a long and proud history of being the most inclusive political party in America. The Disabled Republicans club is just the next step in ensuring the inclusion of all people in their political discussion.
